THE CHALLENGE
Cartridge World, a leading provider of printer cartridges and related services, faced significant challenges in setting up an efficient and scalable online fulfillment system across its vast network of over 120 franchise stores. Each franchise location operated independently, with its own inventory, making it difficult to ensure customers received accurate product availability and timely fulfillment. This fragmented structure created operational inefficiencies and a less-than-optimal experience for customers, particularly when transitioning onto BigCommerce. As a result, order fulfillment was inconsistent, leading to potential delays, customer dissatisfaction, and lost sales.
To address these challenges, Cartridge World partnered with MyIntegrator to develop an innovative Buy Online, Pick Up In Store (BOPIS) application. The goal was to integrate multi-location inventory management with BigCommerce’s robust platform to provide seamless order fulfillment across the entire franchise network.

By leveraging BigCommerce’s flexible API infrastructure and webhook functionality, the solution seamlessly integrates Cartridge World’s eCommerce platform with its network of 120 independent franchise locations. By using the API, real-time inventory updates are sent from each individual store, ensuring that product availability is always accurate and dynamically adjusted based on the customer’s location. This connection enables customers to see up-to-date stock levels and make informed purchasing decisions, whether they are ordering for home delivery or in-store pickup.
